So far this week here in Canmore, we have had rain at some point in time each day. To say that this has been 'dampening' the shooting is a bit of an understatement!! However, I did take advantage of my 2nd floor balcony and wonderful view last night to capture the impending storm. Watching the heavy rain march its way south down the valley, drawing closer and closer was a definite sight to see. Hopefully the image below does justice to the sight that I was treated to last night.

Since arriving in Canmore this past weekend, the morning shooting conditions have not been overly great. Most mornings have been windy and cloudy with rain showers. As you can imagine, this makes it pretty tough to capture a golden sunrise over a tranquil mountain lake. Sometimes, you just have to take what you can get. The other morning, although still overcast, it wasn't raining so I grabbed my gear and headed out. After nearly an hour of feeding the local mosquito population along Spring Creek, I was able to catch a few minutes of sun peeking through the cloud cover. Although I'm pretty sure I lost a great deal of blood while serving myself up as a breakfast buffet, I think the result was worth it.
