Are you frustrated when your picture doesn't turn out how you envisioned it? Is it lacking that “feeling” that you had when you took it? This workshop is designed to help you “see” (pre-visualize) the shot that you want to take. Compositional techniques and lighting are major factors that affect the overall “feel” or “mood” of an image. Our goal is to provide you with practical knowledge on pre-visualizing your shots to help insure your images have the impact you desire. Co-hosted with Roy McLaughlin, this intermediate course will help you begin to tell stories with your photographs.
Topics discussed will include:
- Brief review of basic camera functions
- Compositional rules & guidelines
- Understanding light & exposure
- Camera with Aperture / Shutter / Manual shooting modes
- Charged battery for camera
- Memory card
- User manual for camera
- Tripod / Shutter Release
Through a series of presentations and hands-on shooting assignments, Al & Roy will help you take creative control of your camera.
With over 5 decades of photographic experience to draw from, Al Dixon and Roy McLaughlin want to help you as they have helped others to better understand their camera and make the transition from snapshots to photographs.
