Photography has always involved (2) primary steps... image capture & post processing.  This still holds true even in today's digital world, although post processing is commonly left to our camera.  While today's cameras are technological wonders and do an adequate job processing our images, taking control of this step can drastically improve the quality of your images.  Adobe Lightroom is one of the most popular platforms and considered by many to be the industry standard for photo editing and processing.

Topics discussed will include:

  • What is Lightroom & what makes it so powerful?
  • Importing images & file handling
  • Collections, Metadata, & Keywords
  • Global Develop adjustments & techniques
  • Local Develop adjustment tools & techniques
  • The power of Presets
  • Sharing and exporting your processed images
  • Tips & Tricks

Recommended Equipment:

  • Laptop or desktop computer with Lightroom installed**
  • USB or memory card with images

** Adobe offers a free trial of Lightroom.  It can be downloaded and installed prior to the workshop.  At this point, it appears that Adobe is randomly experimenting with different trial period lengths.  I have heard reports of trial periods ranging from 7 days to 30 days.  I recommend downloading & installing the trial a couple of days prior to the workshop.
