Saturday saw me roll into Vancouver with my daughter, and I had one objective in mind... take in the Honda Celebration of Light. In a nutshell, it's Vancouver's biggest event; and the largest off shore fireworks competition in the world. Attendance for each performance can approach 400,000 people!! Now, as those who know me can testify too; if I'm willingly going into a crowd that size, there is definitely something worth photographing!!
The show on Saturday was definitely worth it. Put on by the UK team (featuring Pyro2000), it was absolutely amazing. It's been a while since I've had the chance to "shoot" a fireworks show, and I'm glad that I altered my trip to include the stop. I only wish now that I was able to take in the performances later this week by the other 2 teams.
It was a great way to spend the evening, with my daughter shooting right along side me. Hopefully the images below do justice to a truly great show.
